ABOUT ME

My journey started 18 years ago, I ventured into the Footwear, Leather and Allied industries in South Africa. I started out working in a leather and synthetics company importing and developing new ranges and products. I then moved on to a footwear and printing machinery supply company where I gained an intimate knowledge of the equipment used in the production and finishing of garments. In addition, I marketed a line of consumables for use on the equipment, and gained a good understanding of design and CAD software.

I was then approached to run the Cape Town branch of a Leather Supply business to the local footwear industry. My time there allowed me to develop great relationships with some of the biggest tanneries and led to me supplying a substantial amount of product to local footwear manufacturers. A large function of this role, and one which I relished, was to support new ventures and designers to develop their products and bring these designs to fruition.   

This passion led me to starting my own consulting journey early in 2019 . I have already been fortunate to work side by side with some really great brands and have helped them overcome some challenges from design and development on the leather side. I've also used my extensive supplier base to build mutually beneficial relationships between them and my clients.
